The Miami Heat will take the court as Vice City on November 18, 2026, the night before Grand Theft Auto VI launches. On November 6 the team unveiled the uniforms it will wear for the game, a collaboration with Rockstar Games, Nike and Travis Scott's Cactus Jack label. The Heat host the Milwaukee Bucks at the Kaseya Center that night, and the game airs on ESPN.
This is the first piece of the Miami campaign to carry Rockstar's name on the record. ESPN reports that the jersey tag lists Rockstar Games alongside the Heat and Cactus Jack, and that the team is coordinating further details "with Rockstar Games". Until now, everything from the wrapped cars to the Burger Shot stands inside the Kaseya Center had been reported without any party confirming who was behind it.
What the uniforms look like
According to ESPN's report on the Heat's announcement, the Swingman jersey is black with pink and white accents and "Vice City" across the chest where the Heat wordmark would normally sit. It carries Travis Scott's signature flipped Nike Swoosh, a "VI" nod to the game, six pink stars, and Cactus Jack branding at the hem. The design builds on the team's earlier "Vice" alternate uniforms, which borrowed the same Miami Vice palette and became some of the NBA's best-selling jerseys.
There are two versions: the on-court uniform the players will wear, and a retail Swingman jersey and shorts. SportsLogos.Net, which has covered the project since the game was first announced in October, reports the on-court version is more restrained because NBA rules limit how overt a game tie-in can be. We have not seen both versions side by side ourselves, so treat the differences as reported.
The Heat's news release, quoted by ESPN, says the night will "transform the Kaseya Center into Vice City" and calls it "a first-of-its-kind sports crossover experience". The team's social post put it more simply: "For one night only, the HEAT trade Miami for Vice City."
When you can buy one
Both the Swingman jersey and the shorts go on sale in limited quantities on November 18, the day of the game. ESPN and Complex both report the same date and both say quantities are limited. No price has been announced, and neither the Heat nor Nike has said whether the jerseys will be sold online or only at the arena. If you are planning to buy one, treat game day at the Kaseya Center as the only confirmed option for now.
Complex also reports that Cactus Jack, Rockstar and Nike have Air Force 1 colourways on the way. Those have been in the Rumor Tracker since the start of November because no brand has confirmed them. The uniform reveal makes the three-way partnership official, but it does not confirm the shoes, their date or their price.
How it fits the Miami campaign
The Heat lit a "Welcome to Vice City" sign on the Kaseya Center roof on November 5, the night before the reveal. That sign, the Burger Shot and Cluckin' Bell food stands inside the arena, the wrapped cars on Miami streets and the Wynwood Walls free-admission week have all been reported since mid-October. Our feature on how Rockstar turned Miami into Vice City has the full timeline.
What changed on November 6 is attribution. For the first time a named partner, the Heat, has said in a news release that it is working with Rockstar Games on a GTA VI event, and Rockstar's name is printed on the product. Rockstar itself has still not posted about the Heat night on the Newswire or its own social channels. If it does, we will update this story.
The night before launch
The game tips off on the evening of November 18 in Miami. GTA VI unlocks on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, with digital pre-loading open from November 10. A Rockstar-branded NBA game on the eve of launch, in the city the game is modelled on, is as close to a launch party as Rockstar has ever staged. Whether the company shows up in person, or on the Kaseya Center's screens, is the thing to watch.
