Two trailers in, GTA 6 fans are still waiting on a third — and on the gameplay footage the first two held back. Here's the honest state of play on timing, and what Trailer 3 is set up to deliver.

No confirmed date — yet

As of June 30, Rockstar has not released or dated Trailer 3. The widely shared theory pinned it to the June 25 pre-order opening, but that date came and went without an official trailer drop. Take-Two has signalled that GTA 6 marketing ramps up across the summer, so the trailer fits somewhere in that window — but there's no countdown, no studio post, and no locked date. Anyone naming a specific day is guessing.

When it does land, it'll show up on Rockstar's verified channels first, usually a few hours ahead of the video.

What it's likely to show

The first two trailers leaned cinematic — Vice City atmosphere, character framing, a taste of the Jason-and-Lucia story. What players keep asking for is gameplay: driving, gunplay, and how the heist-driven loop actually feels in your hands.

Based on Rockstar's past rollouts, Trailer 3 is more likely to be another story trailer than a full gameplay breakdown, with a dedicated gameplay reveal saved for closer to launch. Expect more of the supporting cast and a clearer look at the central plot.

Why it matters now

A third trailer is one of the last big marketing assets Rockstar has left before November. Whenever it drops, it's the moment the campaign shifts from "this place exists" to "here's what you'll do in it."
