Two of Grand Theft Auto's longest-running fake beer brands appear to be on their way to real shelves. Public records held by the US Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, the TTB, show approved labels for Pißwasser, Patriot and a third beer called No Mames Vice City, all filed by Tripping Animals Brewing of Doral, Florida, a few miles from Miami. The records were first spotted by the fan site iGrandTheftAuto on October 20, 2026, and were reported the same day by Dexerto, TweakTown and IGN, with PC Gamer following on October 21.

Before the obvious caveat gets lost: neither Rockstar Games nor Tripping Animals Brewing has announced a partnership, a release date, a price or where the beers would be sold. A TTB label approval clears what can go on a can. It does not mean the can exists yet.

What the records show

The TTB publishes every approved alcohol label in a searchable database, which is why fans could find these without anyone announcing them. According to the reports, the three approvals are:

  • Pißwasser, approved September 29, 2026. The German-styled lager has been a running joke in the series since GTA IV, with slogans the TTB would presumably not have let through unchanged. Reports list it at 4.2 percent ABV.
  • No Mames Vice City, approved October 9, 2026. A new brand rather than a returning one, described as a 6 percent lager. Dexerto describes the label as a dog in sunglasses wearing a gold Vice City chain against a pink and purple sunset, with GTA VI branding prominent.
  • Patriot, approved October 15, 2026. The star-spangled American lager from GTA IV and GTA V, also listed at 4.2 percent. Patriot already has a GTA 6 connection: Jason is shown buying it in Trailer 2.

We have not pulled the TTB records ourselves, so the dates and strengths above are as reported by the outlets that did. The TTB database is public, and the filings are under the brewery's name rather than Rockstar's or Take-Two's.

Why a Doral brewery

Tripping Animals is a craft brewery in Doral, in Miami-Dade County, which places it squarely inside the real-world footprint of Rockstar's Vice City campaign. Over the past fortnight that campaign has included wrapped Leonida-plated cars on Miami streets, a GTA VI blimp, the Wynwood Walls partnership that made the museum free for county residents, and a Miami Heat home game on November 18 in which the team plays as Vice City. A local brewery producing the game's beers for launch week fits the pattern, which is why the story is being read as marketing rather than a trademark accident.

It is still a reading. Rockstar has not acknowledged any of the Miami campaign publicly, the brewery has not posted about the beers, and label approval is a routine step that breweries take well ahead of production. The approvals span three weeks, which suggests a planned line-up rather than a one-off, but that is inference.

What it would and would not mean

If the beers ship, they would be the first official GTA alcohol products we know of, and almost certainly limited in quantity and geography. Craft breweries of Tripping Animals' size do not distribute nationally, so a Florida launch, possibly tied to the November 19 release, is the likeliest shape. Price, packaging and whether Rockstar's name appears anywhere on the can are all unknown.

It does not mean licensed brands are coming to the game. Pißwasser and Patriot are Rockstar's own creations and have always been. The real-world versions, if they arrive, would be the fiction leaking out rather than reality leaking in.

What to watch next

Three things would move this from reported to confirmed: a post from Rockstar or the official GTA VI channels, an announcement from Tripping Animals Brewing, or the beers appearing for sale. We have added the story to the Rumor Tracker as credible, and we will update it when any of those happen. In the meantime, the labels are real, the approvals are dated, and the brewery is twenty minutes from South Beach, which is as close to a confirmation as a TTB database is ever going to give you.
