GTA 6 launches in just two flavours: the Standard Edition at $80 and the Ultimate Edition at $100. Here's how to decide which one to pre-order.
What each edition includes
- Standard Edition ($80): the complete base game — the full story, map and open world.
- Ultimate Edition ($100): everything in Standard, plus an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons and apparel spread across Jason and Lucia's story, and Personalized Variants for Jason's Girardi ES9 and Lucia's Klose K17 pistols.
Both editions get the same Vintage Vice City Pack pre-order bonus, so that doesn't factor into the choice.
Which one should you buy?
The deciding question is simple: do you want the extra cosmetic and gear content? The Ultimate Edition's $20 premium is purely about premium vehicles, weapons, apparel and the personalized pistols — there's no additional story, missions or map.
- Buy Standard if you just want the full GTA 6 experience at the lowest price.
- Buy Ultimate if you enjoy customization and want the extra gear unlocking as you play.
There's no separate "Collector's" edition, so this is the entire decision. Pre-orders open midnight on June 25, 2026, ahead of the November 19, 2026 release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
